What do Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Martha Graham Company, The Metropolitan Opera & Broadway all have in common?
Grown Women Dance Collective!
All stars of the dance world come together to celebrate dance, music & American history. This event honors African American artists who have died since 2000 such as Whitney Houston, James Brown, Natalie Cole, Michael Jackson, & Maya Angelou. Former soloists with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Martha Graham Company, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, & over 40 Broadway shows, perform specially crafted pieces to popular songs by these artists.
Through the power of dancers in their 40’s & 50’s, this uplifting, inspiring, can’t sit still in your seat celebration of who we are as Americans will have you singing to yourself for weeks.
