The goal of the Arts & Letters Committee is to inspire our Chapter and the greater community to pursue cultural enrichment of the African Diaspora through greater appreciation of music, theater and the visual arts and to nurture and foster an appreciation for these works.

 

Programs have included collaboration with our affiliate, National Council of Negro Women, East Bay Area Section, on an annual theater party and fundraisers, with proceeds benefiting chapter scholarships and mentoring programs; Group attendance at the opening of the Oakland East Bay Symphony and attendance at Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, a musical at the SHN Theater in San Francisco, CA.
